Confession: I have NO IDEA what to do with my hair. None.

Before chemotherapy, I wore my hair very short for a long time. With a few exceptions, I kept it close cut for about 15 years. I liked it because it suited my face and it was easy (and cheap) to take care of.

I don’t like beauty salons. It’s a long story.

When people find out that they have cancer, usually one of the first thoughts they have (after wondering whether they are going to die from the disease) is… “will I lose my hair?”  I was no different. I wondered about hair loss and wondered whether or not I would feel differently about myself if I were bald. MyFabulousBoobies.com chemotherapy+nic okay... so how long will it take for my hair to really grow back after chemotherapy?

I completed the first part of my chemotherapy journey approximately a year ago. I finished my Herceptin treatment (a hormonal targeted treatment) about a month and a half ago. The first part of the journey was the worst on my body and especially on my hair. It made it ALL fall out. All over. Just bald.

In some ways, it was wonderful. In others… not so much. I didn’t have to shave my legs or get a bikini wax for months and months.
